The Kan Yuk sa Chapter Song

from the Chairman of American Music, 1954-1955

Long Kan Yuk sa's noble red men

loved our everglades

though they all have passed and gone now

memory never fades

Hail! Kan Yuk sa!

Our Kan Yuk sa!

time and tide may fail

but our hearts will love thee ever

Hail! Kan Yuk sa! Hail!

Far have worthy, trusting daughters

seen Kan Yuk sa's flame

knowing well 'twill fail them never

honor well their name

Hail! Kan Yuk sa!

Our Kan Yuk sa!

time and tide may fail

but our hearts will love thee ever

Hail! Kan Yuk sa! Hail!

Sacred ties can ne'er be broken

when the day is done

while we live we'll ever cherish

friendships here begun

Hail! Kan Yuk sa!

Our Kan Yuk sa!

time and tide may fail

but our hearts will love thee ever

Hail! Kan Yuk sa! Hail!
